The Friends are a small group of parents who work with the Headteacher, Miss Stedman, to raise money for the school on a variety of fundraising projects throughout the school year. Any money raised is used to purchase additional items that are not within allocated Local Authority budgets and will enhance your children’s school life. In the past few years we have been lucky enough to raise £1,500 - £2,000 a year. This has gone towards many different projects, such as:
- New tables and chairs for our Year 5/6 classroom
- A new phonic reading scheme
- £500 worth of new library books
- a large sandpit
- a new projector for one of the classrooms
- water bottles for all the children
- annual TV licence
- Summer and Christmas parties
- Easter Egg raffle
We are always looking for fundraising ideas that put the “fun” into fundraising rather than just begging for money. If you think you can help in anyway, even if you can’t regularly attend our informal termly meetings, please approach a Friend. We don’t bite!
We continue to be very grateful for the generosity and support of the families and friends of our pupils and the local community; without this ongoing support the children would miss out on many things.
